  1. Limit trailers to 10 X 26 feet with 20 or less riders unless approved by committee.
  2. Two police officers and parade volunteers designated by the Chamber of Commerce will check entries the day of the parade for valid driver’s license and insurance.  All entries will be inspected and must be declared in compliance with the rules to join the parade.  A brightly colored parade sign must be displayed on the right side of the vehicle or on the back of riders/drivers to indicate inspection.
  3. No parade participant will be allowed to have a loaded firearm at any time, excluding public safety officials.
  4. All floats and trailers must be within 6 inches in height from the street level or skirted completely, with a rigid material (such as plywood), to within 6 inches of the ground.
  5. All floats and trailers accompanied by people or animals must have adult walkers beside each tire.  An adult must be on floats where there are children.  The ratio of adults to children should be 1:5 for children below the age of 16.  The adult must represent the organization.
  6. Entries must maintain steady movement of parade with 20 to 30 feet between each entry.  Floats or entries may not stop during the parade for any reason.

  8. Float entries being judged must have their identification clearly marked on each side and the back of the float.
  9. No 18-wheel trucks are allowed unless approved by the committee.

  13. Each pulled entry must have a spotter in the cab, other than the driver, viewing the back and communicating with the driver when there is a problem.  If no cab is present, spotter must be present beside entry.
  14. No ATV vehicles except officials and those engaged in pulling parade entries are allowed.
  15. No passengers or riders on farm machinery, other than the operator, are allowed in the parade.
  16. Fire trucks in the parade will carry extra passengers only in the cab and not on top or sides of vehicle.
  17. Candy may not be thrown to bystanders.  If you choose to distribute candy or favors, walkers may hand out the items near the sidewalk.
  18. No parade participant may ride with feet hanging over the side of the entry.
  19. Children below the age of 18 are to be seated at all times behind rails of entry.  If not, the parent(s) of that child takes full responsibility.
  20. Entries must give copy of Insurance Certificate to the Chamber of Commerce prior to the parade date.
  21. All vehicle drivers must have a valid Driver’s License.
